The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed regarding the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher number of clients/beneficiaries to sassa access SASSA services.
“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area every day. The provider position established for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, more info SASSA will mobilise much more resources to allow the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
